Large fold-out map with early tape mend and slight creasing at for-edge, else Fine. Half-title present, Occasional browning, mostly at initial and ending pages, 1/4" dia.marginal brown spot pp.47-60. xxi, [xxii, blank], [2, contents], 382 pages, blanks at end replaced with new parchment. Near Fine overall, in a Fine binding. First Edition, First State of Boswell's first important book. E2 and Z3 are cancels. A handsome copy of this important work. . First Edition. Calf. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
