In 1890, a Sicilian accordion maker voyages with his finest instrument to the violent port of New Orleans, where he is murdered but the accordion lives on through the lives of others who come to own it. First printing with correct full number line sequence. Aside from some very light browning to the pages, this is an exceptionally clean copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, and the boards are clean, flat, and true with minimal wear. Dust jacket is not price-clipped ($25.00) ands shows only minor shelf wear including some bumping to the spine extremes and a small tear (1/8") to the upper spine. There is also some very light wear to the foreedges, some bumping to the corners, and some scuffing including a 1" scuff along the spine and a similar mark near the lower left corner of the back cover.
