Austria: Menorah, 1926. First edition. Hardcover. fair. Octavo. XXXIX, 352pp., 8. Original half cloth over paper boards. Authoritative commentary with preface by Leopold Fleischer. Abraham Ibn-Ezra (1089-1164) was a Spanish Jewish scholar, poet, grammarian, biblical commentator, philosopher, astronomer, and physician. His commentary on Exodus was first published only in 1840, and his commentaries were the most widely studied next to Rashi's. Leopold Fleischer was Chazzan of the Habonim Jewish Center of San Francisco until his passing. Agewear throughout. Agetoning along edges of binding. Head of spine bumped. Rear board chipped at top edge. Front board chipped at top edge, but piece is present and held in place with tape. Overall fair.
