Specially printed for distribution to members of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences in consideration for nomination of the Best Screenplay. 119 page revised shooting script for the film, About a Boy, written by Peter Hedges, Chris Weitz, and Paul Weitz, adapted from the novel by Nick Hornby, directed by Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz, starring Hugh Grant, Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, and Rachel Weisz. Bradbound. Fine in printed studio wrappers. The film tells the story of a hip Londoner (Grant) who takes up wooing single mothers as a way to elude relationship commitment, but when he meets 12-year old Marcus (Hoult), his plan begins to disintegrate as the boy brings out the grown-up in him. The film received an Oscar nomination for Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay. It was also nominated for Golden Globes for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy (Hugh Grant).
