New Delhi: Rangoon Studio. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1940's1930's. Paperback. photo; 2.5 x 2.5"; 8 wallets for negatives with about 8 negatives each. Approximately 100 photos of about 2.5" square including a couple of smaller strips of photos. From the estate of Paul Grimes. Taken in India, probably in the New Delhi area in the very early 1940's [studio established 1939, Kaddish pamphlet ends 1946]. Britain delcared war on Japan in 1841, Japan invaded India 1942. India provided the largest army of 2. 5 million men, so travel was probably pretty limited by that time. Original studio envelopes included. Includes a single early Kodachrome neg as well. Three small pamphlets of Jewish Kaddish. Photographs are of Religious ceremonies, crowds, a castle, domestic scenes, countryside etc. .
