OCLC shows six holdings of this issue (AAS; Univ. Virginia; Cornell; Harvard; Mass. Hist. Soc. & Brown Univ.) There was also a New York printing held by five institutions (Cornell; Boston Pub. Lib.; Mass. Hist. Soc; & Williams Coll.) Rare Book Hub shows no copies on the market since 1978. 221 Washington St. was the address of the Liberator, Boston, Mass. Phillips' address before the Twenty-Eighth Congregational Society, with additional material on "The Southern Secessionists" reprinted from the Liberator. "On Sunday last, April 21st, not less than four thousand people were crowded within the walls of the spacious Music Hall, in Boston, to listen to a discourse on the war, by Wendell Phillips, Esq., before the Twenty-eighth Congregational Society ... . . . I have counseled peace---urged . . . the expediency of acknowledging a Southern Confederacy. . . . I have always believed in the sincerity of Abraham Lincoln. . . .
