Aberdeen & Inverness; Printed by D. Chalmers & Co. (Almanack) & K. Douglas (Supplement), 1835., 1835. Hard Cover. FIRST THUS. 12 mo bound in sixes, pp. 324, 108 Supplement. Contemporary full sheep with gilt titles and fillets to spine. Spine sunned with wear at tips, and boards rubbed with wear to corners. Annotation to endpapers in a contemporary hand, detailing post days, prices etc and numerical workings-out, and a little further annotation and marginal marking. A few leaves corner creased; pp. 171-260 ink-stained, largely to fore-edge margin. A well worn Good copy that sits easily in the hand. Pocket-sized reference book, the internet of its day, which includes calendars, tax tables, army lists, population figures, shipping companies, lists of civic and commercial notables and much more. The Supplement to the rear contains further information on the Northern counties of Scotland collated by K. Douglas.
