A smart complete first edition of this detailed and illustrated history of the 7th Queen's Own Hussars cavalry regiment. Complete in two volumes. First edition. Volume one is illustrated with a colour frontispiece, three colour plates, twenty-seven black-and-white plates, eleven maps and two medals. Volume two is illustrated with a colour frontispiece, five colour plates, forty-two black-and-white plates, four maps, and seven medals. Collated complete. The history of the distinguished cavalry regiment known as the 7th (Queen's Own) Hussars, first formed in 1689 for the British Army. With detailed military history from the regiment's incorporation down to the conclusion of the Waterloo Campaign, and on to the present day. Written by Charles Robert Browning Barrett, a British historian, artist, and book illustrator. In the original half navy crushed morocco with navy cloth boards. Externally, very smart with minor shelf wear and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Light scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed
