Several of his novels became Hollywood movies, and 79 PARK AVENUE became a TV mini-series in 1977. 5 5/8" x 8 1/2",275 page hard cover with the ORIGINAL UNCLIPPED DUST JACKET. Overall condition of the book is VERY GOOD PLUS. Pages (top edges are tinted black) = Very Good Plus: bight marks taken from the top corner of first half of pages, glue processing stains to front reverse cover and first fep, penciled former pricing on first fep, else tight, white, clear, sharp with no additional marks. Cover (bright red quarter bound cloth over blue boards with Borzoi books emblem drop stamped front, particulars and elaborate design in gold gilt on spine) = Very Good Plus: bite taken from upper front corner, heavy rubbing to upper back corner, light sunning to top edges, else very tight, square, colorful, stand-out gilt, attractive, square. ORIGINAL UNCLIPPED DUST JACKET ( blue speckled design paper with large oval frame front in which particulars are in white and blue on pink, spine particulars are white and blue on pink background) = Good minus: chipping to top and bottom edges, one inch tears to top and bottom of spine, 1 1/2" tear to bottom of front fold, rear fold nearly separated from back, color sunned out on spine, else whole, colorful, and clear. Noted book appraiser JAMES BEATTIE has assigned a value of $185.00 to this copy.
