Small square format. 19 pp. With black and white reproductions of paintings throughout, as well as one in color. A catalog to a 1976 exhibition of paintings of Maine, done primarily in the 19th century and into the early 20th century. This includes work by Charles Codman, John Bradley Hudson Jr., Harrison Bird Brown and others. With a short critical and historical introduction examines painting and art in Maine. GOOD condition. Faint line/stain running vertically down the front cover near the spine. Minor general toning to the wraps. Minor soiling and scuffing. Light wear along the extremities. Interior clean and solid.
