Parisiis [i.e. Paris], Dionysium Thierry, Simonis Benar. 3 volumes. Text in Latin. 590, 595, 683 pages. .Engraved title page vignettes. (4to) 18th century calf, armorial stamps to covers, raised bands, morocco lettering pieces, gilt dentelle inners, marbled endpapers. -- Moderate rubbing to binding with some chipping, light damage to head od spines ov vol 1 and 3 , small loss to left side of title label of vol. 1 (see photos) light foxing to leaves, very good.

The orations of Marcus Tullius Cicero. Features an engraving of Arion and the Dolphin, and the inscription "in usum serenissimi Delphini." From the Delphine editions of the Greek and Roman classics were created for Louis le Grand Dauphin, heir of Louis XIV, which were printed in Latin and intended to be a comprehensive collection.
