[10], 66, [1] ad pp. (4to) 7 ½ x 5 ¾. Missing the first leaf at beginning, notes in neat period hand on verso of title page, some in "X" in margins of some pages. Printed for W. Rogers, 1691. * A Letter to a Friend, Concerning a French Invasion, To Restore the Late King James to His Throne. [2], 30 pp. (4to) 8 x 5 ¾. Printed, and are to be sold by Randall Taylor, 1692. * A Second Letter to a Friend, Concerning the French Invasion In which the Declaration lately Dispersed under the Title of His Majesty's. [4], 32 pp. (4to) 8 x 6. Notes in neat period hand on blank preliminary leaf. Second Edition. Printed, and are to be sold by Randal Taylor, 1692. Together three volumes, rebound in modern cloth with gilt-lettered morocco spine labels. Interesting works on politics and religion from Sherlock (1641? - 1707). Wing numbers S3273, S3295, and S3340. The authorship on the two letter volumes is given as "Jacobites." The spine label on the first reads "Answer to King James Manifesto - London 1697." Date in error as given there. Randall Taylor's dates the item on its title page as 1692.
