About This Item

New York: WCC Books, 1965. Early Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 5 1/2 X 8 1/4 Inches. 254 PP. Stated Second Printing. Original price of $4.95 intact on the front flap. Signed and inscribed by Huie to Jerry Harper on the half title-page. Following the journalistic success of his coverage of the Emmett Till murder, Huie covers the murders of three civil rights workers in Mississippi during Freedom Summer of 1964 in this important book. The book was so impactful to the Civil Rights movement of the 60's that Martin Luther King Jr. would later pen the foreword to the second edition. Todd Mueller (UACC) authentication hologram to back of signed page of the book (for some reason). Light wear to DJ edges and folds.
