Netherlands Two oblong glossy pictorial hardcover children's books, without dust jackets, matched set in same format, pale green colouring and size (about 17 x 24 cm), lacking publishing information and undated (but c1930s/1940s), unpaginated, but each 16 pages including full colour illustrations on almost every page;---text in Dutch;---both very gently used, tight in bindings, only tiny traces of shelf wear, very clean and unmarked throughout, all illustrations bright and colourful including those on both covers (no sun fading);---these are the personal copies of the previous owner, Dutch-Canadian silhouette artist and graphic designer Hans-Detlev Voss who still lived and worked in The Netherlands during the 1930s/1940s, both lacking his usual professionally designed bookplate and his usual tiny ink numeral indicating his personal library code.
