It is for the beginner and has technical art terms explained, how to appreciate and evaluate, Japanese Influendes, it covers house, gardens, paintings, scupture, masks, dolls, lacquer work, textiles, swords, armor, metalwork, ceramics, prints and books. Complete historical background. It has numerous black and white photos and sketches throughout. There are some mimeographed papers laid in the front of the book about Japanese woodblock prints, that I will leave in the book. The priced dust jacket has chips and wear but is solid. Boards are clean. Pages are clean and there is no writing.
