Founded in 1912 on the campus of Hampton Institute in Virginia, the Colored Intercollegiate Athletic Association is the oldest African-American athletic conference in the United States, consisting mostly of historically black colleges and universities on the east coast from Pennsylvania to South Carolina. This issue includes: "The President's Address" by John H. Burr; and the text of a panel discussion on the subject of "New Horizons in College Athletics" by the following college presidents and chairmen: Charles H. Williams (Hampton Institute), Dr. L. H. Foster (Virginia State), Dr. H. L. Dickason (Bluefield State), Alonzo G. Moron (Hampton Institute), Dr. Alfonso Elder (North Carolina College at Durham), and Dr. Howard D. Gregg (Delaware State College). Also prints: "Constitution and By Laws of the C. I. A. A."
