Good - Reductorium morale, a moralization of Bartholomeus Anglicus' encyclopedic work De proprietatibus rerum ("On the Nature of Things"), which provides the structure for the first 13 of its 16 books. (The first 14 books can be found in the Paris, 1521 edition.). First published in Cologne in 1477. - Biblical moral lexicon by the French Benedictine Berthorius (1290-1362), which went through numerous editions due to its popularity. With title in red and black and wide figurative woodcut title border. Restored contempory vellum. Browned and slightly stained due to paper. First ll. slightly more stained and with missing parts in the white margin. Somewhat waterstained in places and wormy on the inner gutter with slight loss of letters. Manuscript entry on REP. A Benedictine, he was a translator, encyclopaedist, and the author of several works, including the Ovidius Moralizatus (not to be confused with the Ovide Moralisé) (1340), a work of mythography. The Gesta Romanorum, a Latin collection of anecdotes and tales, is sometimes attributed to him.
