Harper & Row, 1965. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good+. Vintage Hardcover with DJ, Stated First Edition 1963 Harper & Row 279 pages. Very Good+, in a VG+ DJ. Minor shelf/edge wear to black cloth boards with gilt spine titles - two bottom corners lightly bumped. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear, rubbing and edge toning to unclipped DJ - now in mylar. Sticker shadow on FFEP and blank bookplate on inside front cover - all pages are clean and unmarked. The story of Operation Dragon Rouge, which was a hostage rescue operation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo conducted by Belgium and the United States in 1964. The operation was led by the Belgian Paracommando Regiment to rescue hostages held by Simba rebels in the city of Stanleyville. Very scarce. A very handsome Stated First Edition in the original DJ.LOC SSE-04
