About the author

Henryk Glebocki is a historian specializing in Eastern Europe and the Russian Empire, and holds an associate professorship at the Jagiellonian University, Krakw. He has authored and co-authored several books on the history of Central and Eastern Europe, including "Diabel Asmodeusz" w niebieskich binoklach i kraj przyszlosci. Hr. Adam Gurowski i Rosja, on Count Adam Gurowski, a Polish radical insurrectionary of 1863 who later turned pro-Russian (Krakw: Arcana, 2012); Kresy Imperium. Szkice i materialy do dziejw polityki Rosji wobec jej peryferii (XVIII - XXI wiek), on the peripheries of the Russian Empire from the 18th to 21st century, (Krakw: Arcana, 2006); The Underground, in Road to Independence - Solidarity 1980-2005 (Warszawa: Volumen and K.K.
