Unpaginated, 24pp. Original black cloth with silver lettering on cover and spine. Textured off-white endpapers. Frontispiece photograph. Number two in the Lodima Press Portfolio Book Series. Illustrated with ten full page photographs by Chiarenza. "What is here cannot be said. Places, spaces, where Sometimes, Our interior self resides. Luminous and dark; Solitudes are, perhaps, Quietudes. Calm, harmonious retreats. Silent, yet swollen with sound." (Carl Chiarenza, 2004). Chiarenza's photographs have been exhibited in seventy-eight solo and two hundred and forty group shows since 1957. Designed by Michael Höhne, printed in 600-line screen quadtone.
