There is some whitish mottling at the top of the spine and one small spot on the top edge of the top edge of the front board. THIS COPY IS IN MY POSSESSION AND WILL NORMALLY SHIP NEXT DAY. This copy has no date information but if I were to venture a guess I would say circa late 1950s. The map is included with this copy. There is a 133 page prox section containing Appendix A thru F with a publisher's note following Appendix F apologizing for not including an Appendix to this edition of names announced in the Preface of The Fellowship of the Ring which leads me to believe that this book was part of a set.
