One double leaf laid in with stamp of the carpenter Ernst Matthias in Stendal, Saxony, on front leaf, most likely the agent for the furniture manufacturer. The extensive offerings by F. E. furniture includes cabinets, bookcases, buffets, credenzas, vitrines, and writing tables. Each set is named after a German city, e.g. Hannover, Königsberg, Aachen, Dessau, etc. The set on the laid in double page is named "Wotan" and is reminiscent of the Wilhelminian style whereas the sets in the bolted catalog clearly show the influence of the era of New Objectivity, though featuring some nonfigurative ornamentation of the sets furnished with precious wood.
