Irish sailor Conor O'Brien's account of his three yachts; the Kelpie which was used for gun-running, the Saoirse on which he circumnavigated the globe, and the Ilen which was built for use in the Falkland Islands.

Used Paperback - 2011- 374 pages, with 16 pages of plates - very good condition. The biography of John Boyle O'Reilly (1844-1890) by Ian Kenneally. As a member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood (aka the Fenians) O'Reilly was involved in the recruitment of British soldier to that organisation. Discovery and imprisoned he was transported to Australia. After two years there he escaped to the USA, where he became a newspaper editor in Boston, known for his support of causes such as worker's rights and Irish Freedom.
