Unclipped jacket has edgewear particularly to top edge with some nicks, a few short closed tears and a few very small chips.

Library pocket and due slip to front endpapers and sticker to rfep. 2 1/2 inch tear to page following ffep from gutter across. Call tag to bottom of spine. Book otherwise clean and nice looking with some edgewear.

New York: Random House, 1949. First US Edition/First Printing. Hardcover. Fair/Good. The early dystopian classic available in the original edition. Stated First Printing. Scarce with author's signature to half-title page. In light blue debossed cloth boards with darker blue cloth spine and silver type. top page ends tinted light blue. Unfortunately, to combat pigment/paper loss common to boards of this edition, a previous owner painted boards blue(but not spine). Some light loss still visible to board ends and corners. Light wear overall with sharp corners. A tiny blue spot to bottom page ends and some very faint smudges to endpapers and paper abrasions to pastedowns. Otherwise clean with tight binding. Would be Very Good if not for aforementioned coloration of boards. Jacket price is price-clipped with some very small chips primarily to top corners, head of spine and top of panels. Crease to front flap with smaler edge crease, some scuffing and spotting to top of rear flap.

Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1969. 20th Anniversary Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. A nice copy of the 20th Anniversary Edition in grey cloth with black type. Bottom corners dinged and fading to tops of spine and boards. Slight cock to spine. All copies of this edition I have seen have 11th printing listed, but likely reprinted from the 11th printing of the First Edition. Jacket is unclipped ($5.95) with some edge wear/cerasing and a few nicks/short tears primarily to spine ends and corners. Scuffing to rear panel and slight fading to spine. Cover art by William Hoffman. Scarce.

In maroon cloth with red title panels and gilt to type. Slight tilt to spine at top and light foxing to top page ends. Previous owner's name to ffep which also has paper scar in gutter perhaps from tape removal? Minimal wear with clean interior and solid binding. Photographs and illustrations throughout and folding star chart in pocket on rear pastedown. Jacket has chipping and some tears to spine ends and corners which are tape reinforced. Split with short tears along rear crease of spine 2/3 down. Scarce in jacket.

A couple vertical creases to A Wizard of Earthsea and The Farthest Shore, otherwise mild wear - each Very Good to Near Fine. Still nice and glossy. Cover art by Pauline Ellison. Slipcase has some light scuffing, a few nicks and small stain to one corner of opening - Very Good.

The Tombs of Atuan and The Farthest Shore are 9th printings and in nice shape, the former with a couple flakes at spine ends - Very Good - and the latter with very little signs of wear - Near Fine. Cover art by Pauline Ellison. Slipcase is scuffed with some spotting at bottom and bump/split to one of top rear corners - Good.

Jacket appears trimmed by 1/8 inch - perhaps to accomodate former jacket protector. Some chips and nicks to corners/spine ends and edges with short tear to bottom of front panel. Some spotting and toning to spine.
