Contemporary vellum. Library stamps at endleaves. A very good, clean copy. First edition, thus; a much smaller collection of funeral and wedding sermons appeared in 1655 at Köln. A celebrated preacher, Mathias Faber (1587-1653) published many collections of sermons, which remained popular even into the nineteenth century. The first collection, Concionum opus tripartitium, was published at Ingolstadt between 1631 and 1634; the third edition (Köln, 1646) appears to be the first to include a separate index "pro concionibus funebribus et nuptialiis." Fagnoni on front free endpaper, dated 1938. This special issue of the Italian magazine 'Architettura' was issued to commerate the completion of the Royal Airforce School in Florence. The issue is a visual survey of the technical and architectural aspects of the project, which was designed by Raffaello Fagnoni. This project was one of the most important projects carried out by the fascist regime, built within a year from 1937 to 1938 in the Parco delle Cascine in Florence.
