Containing the philosophical works of Lucilio Vanini (1585-1619), Italian philosopher, physician and free-thinker. A scarce work, rarely seen in commerce.He was one of the first significant representatives of intellectual libertinism and among the first modern thinkers who viewed the universe as an entity governed by natural laws.Complete with half title. Rebound in full morocco with five raised bands, gilt lettering to spine, gilt to edges. Externally very smart with light fading to back strip. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to fore edge, not affecting pages that remain generally bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
