Dalton also wrote that he rode with Quantrill (although he spelled his last name wrong and seems not to have known his first name). Dalton's memoir mentions Frank and Jesse James, Robert Ford, Cole Younger, Sam Bass, and Wild Bill Hickock. He tells what happened in the raid on Paducah, KY and the Lawrence, KS massacre.
