Two orphaned children, Finn and Derval Dove (Wild and Raye) flee to their grandmother's house in Ireland to escape their cruel stepfather, while their uncle "Hawk" Dove (Moody), a master of disguises, pursues them. INSCRIBED in manuscript ink on an inset page preceding the script by actor Gene Reynolds, who played a young Douglas Corrigan in the movie: "For Art / From Corrigan-as-a-boy / Gene Reynolds / Mar - 71." With blue and white revisions pages (including some detail for montage sequences). Copy originally belonging, to an unidentified cast or crew member "(Mr. Starkey"), with that persons' manuscript pencil annotations throughout. Based on the true story of Douglas "Wrong Way" Corrigan, an aviator who "accidentally" flies to Dublin, Ireland. A phenomenally popular novel in the UK and Ireland upon publication, and basis for the iconic 1952 John Ford film, "The Quiet Man," starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. The UK edition went well into multiple printings, the small first printing having always been extremely scarce, particularly in jacket. Very Good plus in an about Very Good dust jacket. Neat contemporary owner name on the front endpaper. Slight lean, with a strip of fading along the bottom edge of the boards, light foxing to the page edges. Jacket has a few chips and short closed tears at the extremities, the largest being at the crown, affecting a portion of the title ("EEN" in "GREEN"). A very presentable copy overall.

New York: Island Records, 1980. Vintage black and white double-sided poster for U2's 1980 US tour promoting their debut album "Boy" and hit single "I Will Follow." One side of the poster advertises press responses to U2's debut album "Boy," alongside a list of the band's upcoming US tour dates, while the other side has a close up image of Bono on the mic and simply says " 'I WILL FOLLOW'! U2." Though reviewed at the time as relatively unpolished but still having potential, U2 has gone on to be one of the most widely-recognized bands in the world. Over the years U2 has sold over 170 million records, won 22 Grammy Awards (more than any other band), and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 14.5 x 21 inches, folded. Good to Very Good condition, with a chip and various pinhole tears at the extremities, and two cello tape repairs to one side.

The second of two films based on Liam O'Flaherty's 1925 novel, the first being Arthur Robison's 1929 British feature, about a former Republic Army member during the Irish War of Independence, who turns in one of his comrades to the British in order to use the bounty money to book passage to America for himself and his girlfriend, who has been forced into prostitution. Winner of four Academy Awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Actor for Victor McLaglen, nominated for two others, including Best Picture. Screenwriter Dudley Nichols became the first person to decline an Academy Award, when his refused his Oscar due to an ongoing dispute between the Screen Writers Guild and the Academy, though he would eventually claim it three years later. 11 x 14 inches with irregular margins. Fitzgerald was an Irish stage, film, and television actress who was an Academy Award and Tony Award nominee, and an Emmy Award recipient. She made her theatrical debut at 19 in 1932 and starred in several British films before emigrating to New York in 1938 where she starred opposite Orson Welles in the Mercury Theatre production of "Heartbreak House." In 1939 she signed with Warner Brothers and starred in William Wyler's 1939 "Wuthering Heights," her first Hollywood film, which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Fitzgerald's long and varied career on stage, screen, and television lasted for six decades, and she was listed as number 30 in "The Irish Times" list of Ireland's greatest film actors, as well as being a member of the American Theater Hall of Fame. 8 x 10 inches.
