Original British quad poster for the 1957 British film noir A low budget British film noir that brought Rod Steiger across the ocean in order to put his formidable character acting skills into what became a critically praised film. Shot in Spain (but represented as Mexico), "Across the Bridge" expands on Graham Greene's short story, bringing more specifics to the author's intentionally empirical outline. Steiger plays a crooked businessman on the run who steals a man's passport in order to hide out in Mexico, only to discover that the passport belongs to a wanted political assassin. 30 x 40 inches. New York: Harvey Hutter & Co., Inc, 1978. Vintage "US Senator Blutarsky" poster, used as an ultimately little known, bizarre futuristic advertisement for the 1978 film. National Lampoon was a huge success as an alternative magazine in the early 1970s, and irrevocably altered its future in 1978 with the production of this film, an irreverent, sharp, and now classic comedy. A production company was launched, making over half a dozen films between 1978-2002, and as a result today's generation associates "National Lampoon" almost completely with its films rather than its pulp origins. And importantly, this was the film that catapulted Harold Ramis and Belushi from television into the movies, where they would both flourish. Very Good overall with no restoration, lightly soiled with 2 short closed tears, 3 cello tape shadows and some creasing to left, otherwise bright and unfaded.

One of Aldrich's finest efforts, among many, a noirish, personal take on the evils of war, with a interesting focus on nepotism. Unpopular on release due to a grim ending and a cynical tone, much the opposite of a flag-waving World War II film. 27 x 41 inches. One vertical fold and three horizontal folds as issued, Near Fine overall.

Nearly all heralds were printed in Barcelona, by printers Marti y Mari, I.G. Viladot, Juan Barguno, Melguizo, Jose Sabadell, Graficas Valencia, and others, upon the Spanish release of international films. Most are for American films, a few Spanish productions, and notable others include English's "The Adventures of Captain Marvel" (1941), Tourneur's "Cat People" (1942), Fleming's "Gone with the Wind" (1939) and "The Wizard of Oz" (1939), Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt" (1943), Beebe's "The Shadow of the Eagle" (1932), from Blystone's "Our Hospitality" (1923) to Hough's "Twins of Evil" (1971).
