Based on James Wellard's 1955 novel, about an American contraband runner approached by a French woman to help rescue her brother from Albania where he is being held as a political prisoner. With Sean Connery in an early supporting role, his first with director Young before their collaborations on several James Bond films. Shot on location in Greece and Spain. 8 x 10 inches. A few light bruises, and a large chunk from 1 still, else Near Fine.

Base on the Lionel Davidson novel, "Night of Wenceslas" (1960), about a man who gets caught up in Cold War espionage, in a romantic spy-spoof. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with pinholes at the corners, and a few moderate creases.

Album of thirty lobby cards and photographs from thirteen animated films, all SIGNED or INSCRIBED by animation directors to fellow animator Les Gibbard. Lotte Reiniger,Norman McLaren, John Hubley, Arthur Babbitt, Grim Natwick, and four of Disney's famed "nine old men," Frank Thomas, Milt Kahl, Ollie Johnston, and Ward Kimball, all have signatures in the album, with the occasional humorous addition to the image or dated inscription. Signatures date from 1973 and 1974. The album contains images for eight animated classics: "Bambi" (1942), "Pinocchio" (1940), "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937), "Gulliver's Travels" (1939), "The Jungle Book" (1967), "Dumbo" (1941), "It's Tough to Be a Bird" (1969), and "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" (1949). Based on Marcelle Maurette's stage play, about a scheme to conspiracy to extort ten million pounds from a bank by teaching a homeless girl to impersonate the missing Russian princess Anastasia. Ingrid Bergman won an Academy Award for her lead role. 8 x 10 inches. Tiny faint creases overall,and light soil to one still, else Near Fine.

Original lobby card for the Quebecois release of the 1958 film "Anna Lucasta," a remake of the 1949 film directed by Irving Rapper, adapted from screenwriter Yordan's 1936 play. Lobby card number three in the set, with the Quebec Censorship board's approval seal to the top right corner. An early Eartha Kitt film with a predominantly black cast, in which Kitt plays a prostitute estranged from her family, who reconciles with her father through marriage to a "respectable" college graduate. 14 x 11 inches. Very Good plus condition, with cello tape to each corner.

Based on George Agnew Chamberlain's 1941 novel, "The Phantom Filly," about a juvenile delinquent and his stay at a run down Kentucky ranch. Eventually he gains an interest in all things mechanical, including the hot sports car owned by a neighboring young woman. A story set and shot in Kentucky. 8 x 10 inches. Jake Remy (Warren Oates) and his gang of outlaws need to cross the river into Mexico following a successful robbery, but barge operator Travis (Lee Van Cleef) refuses to let them cross. Set in the fictional town of Buckskin, Arizona, shot on location in Colorado and Arizona. 14 x 11 inches. One with a 1/2 inch rough tear in bottom left margin, else Near Fine.

A "western" style take on Jack London's "The Sea Wolf," about a gold mine and its colorful cast of outcasts and fugitives from the law. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with light toning and rubbing, light soil to versos.

Beverly Hills, CA: Warner Brothers, 1922. Set of six vintage hand-tinted lobby cards for the 1922 film, including the title card. Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1922 novel. A young husband and wife spend money with aplomb, anticipating a large payout once the man's grandfather dies. Trouble ensues, however, when the patriarch passes away and they realize they have been left nothing in his will. Today considered a lost film. 14 x 11 inches. Very Good plus, some with pinholes to the corners.

A star-studded but typical Hollywood biopic based on an original story by John O'Hara ("Ten North Frederick," 1955), about a successful 1920s musical writing team, DeSylva, Brown and Henderson. They score several hits on Broadway, but tensions between the three writers mount as two begin to feel neglected. 8 x 10 inches. Moderate rubbing to a couple of stills, and faint creases overall, else Near Fine. Hirschhorn, p. 356.

Interesting sequel that picks up where "The Poseidon Adventure" (1972) leaves off, with the ship floating capsized and a band of pirates reaping havoc. 11 x 14 inches. A petty thief (Carmichael) steals a suitcase full of money, only to find out that the bills all have the same serial number. In order to make use of the money, and to impress a bar maid (Lee), he must find a way to change the serial numbers. Shot using the short-lived VistaVision, a wide-screen 35mm film format. Shot on location in London and Berkshire, England. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.

London: Twentieth Century-Fox, 1956. Two vintage British front-of-house cards from the UK release of the 1956 US film. Based on an article by Burton Roueche, about a schoolteacher who becomes dependent on a "miracle" drug with unexpected side effects to his sanity. Credited as screenwriters were Cyril Hume and Richard Maibaum, however the shooting script was entirely reworked by director Nicholas Ray and actor/producer James Mason, who added the first 20 minutes of the film depicting Ed Avery's daily life before being hospitalized. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, several stills with scratches and a few closed tears.

Costain's 1945 novel, about a Saxon youth who runs away from England during the Crusades. Somehow he and a friend make it to China, where they get involved with the court of Kubla Kahn. 8 x 10 inches. Light rubbing and faint creasing overall, else Near Fine.

Amsterdam: Meteor Film, 1974. Collection of five vintage lobby cards from the Dutch release of the 1974 film. Stamps of Meteor Film on the versos, and all six with blindstamps on the corners. Count Dracula travels from Transylvania to pre-fascist Italy in search of virgin blood to drink, but soon discovers there are no longer any virgins to be found in the entirety of Italy. One of Andy Warhol's two horror films (the other being "Frankenstein," released the same year on a double bill), both USA/Italy/France co-productions, and the pinnacle of his film career in terms of popularity outside avant-garde circles. Set in Italy, shot on location in Italy and Serbia. 11 x 9 inches. Very Good plus, with pinholes and light wear at the corners. Criterion Collection 28. Severin Films 721.

A well received and a still appreciated film, based on a story of the same title in Damon Runyon's 1931 collection, "Guys and Dolls," a Haycraft-Queen Cornerstone. Mitzi Gaynor stars as a backwoods babe with a knack for song-and-dance that she uses to impress a few bigwigs in New York, she then becomes a belle of Broadway. They also take a liking to her bloodhounds. 8 x 10 inches. Light toning and a few faint creases overall, else Near Fine. Hirschhorn, p. 330.

Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1953. Set of 4 original lobby cards for the 1953 film "Bright Road," based on the Christopher Award winning story "See How They Run," written by Mary Elizabeth Vroman, and first published in 1951 in the Ladies' Home Journal. Notable for its nearly all-black cast, "Bright Road" stars Dorothy Dandridge as an Alabama schoolteacher intent on motivating one of her more lackluster students. Dandridge is said to have accepted the role because of the film's lack of racial tension as a central theme. As a result, she hoped that young women of all colors could identify with her character. Harry Belafonte's debut feature film. 14 x 11 inches. Both lobby cards quite clean with no pinholes, about Near Fine.

Based on John Steinbeck's novels "Cannery Row" (1945) and "Sweet Thursday" (1954). David S. Ward's directorial debut. In 1940s Monterey, a self employed marine biologist and former baseball star befriends a drifter working at the local bordello. Set and shot on location in Monterey and San Diego, California.
