Quarter brown leather, red leather spine label, marbled paper boards. 45 pp. Originally printed in 1871 at the office of the Mainland Guardian, New Westminster, British Columbia. First reprinted in 1958 by Robert Reid and Takao Tanabe. This is the second in a series of books pertaining to the history of British Columbia, from the private Press of Reid joined by Tanabe. The binding is by Felicity Reid, the marbling is by Sherry Grauer. The copy followed in is the Howay-Reid Collection of the University of British Columbia. Rubbed to paper edges of boards. Slight edge toning to paper. Else fine. Facsimile of advertisement from the Mainland Guardian of July 1, 1871 laid in.
