A very solid copy in VG+/Good condition. The HB is clean & tight with some wear & rubbing on the boards. The DJ is not price-clipped, has a scotch tape repair along the left spine. The top of the spine has a chip missing that does not descend into the title, nor does the bottom chip ascend into the publishing company title. Awarded the 1947 Pulitzer Prize, rated by the Modern Library as the 36th greatest novel of the 20th century, and in 2005 one of Time magazine's100 best novels since 1923, In 1949, adapted and directed for the screen by Robbert Rossen.
