About This Item

Hollywood: Hollycrofters, Inc. Ltd., 1932. First Edition/First Printing. Hardcover. Good/Good + . Signed by author on title page.. Apart from issues noted, an absolutely beautiful edition for the age in pale green boards and dark green cloth to spine with tipped on title panels to front board and spine. Some wear/splitting to top front corner and bottom rear corner and more notably a hard hit to top rear corner with loss of a 1/4 X 1/2 inch chip through paper covered boards and halfway into cardboard with attendant splitting. Would be Near Fine without the corner damage. Book pages are still uncut. Profusely illustrated. Small bookstore sticker to top of rear pastedown. Jacket has some chipping at or near corners with associated 1/2 inch closed tears to top and bottom rear corners. One small horizontal chip 1/8 inch high to bottom of rear panel. Spine ends have some chipping as well at corners with associated 1 1/4 inch tear to bottom rear spine crease. Three small moisture spots to top of spine with numerous very faint spots as well and some tanning to spine. Extremely scarce.
