Small spot to the top of the front board is the only mark to the boards. Biographies and descriptions of paintings. Numerous black and white examples of artworks. Nice clean condition, with some age toning and moderate darkening to the page edges. Thomas Patrick Bodkin (1887–1961) was an Irish lawyer, art historian, art collector and curator. Bodkin was Director of the National Gallery of Ireland. 236 pages. 210 x 170 mm (8¼ x 6¾ inches).

Mounted on Manilla paper, 40 full-page colour pictures. Presumably a children's book including a pictorial alphabet of Christian characters from Rebekah to Noah, and Moses to Zacharias; plus many full-page colour illustrations. The boards are only slightly rubbed and inside the book is in a very good condition. 42 pages. 290 x 225 mm (11½ x 8¾ inches).

Marbled page edges.Brown half percaline hardback, with raised bands and gilt title to spine. Corners rubbed. Title page has neat hole (like a cigarette burn). Ex libris to front pastedown. B/w vignettes in text throughout. Very clean and fresh inside. Text in French. iv, 150 pp. + table. 260 x 170 mm (10¼ x 6¾ inches). Seconde édition. Twelve unnumbered pages, each with two colour plates showing two letters of the alphabet. In very good condition. Text in Dutch. Undated, but WorldCat indicates 1880. 12 pages. 170 x 250 mm (6¾ x 9¾ inches).

Paris: Petit Courrier des Enfans, 1841. Two volumes. First edition. Quarter red leather with gilt titles to red boards. A little bumping and rubbing to the edges of the boards. Each volume contains 12 engraved plates - so 24 in total. The wide pages are each divided in 4 columns, and pagination is by column, rather than page. Each volume contains 12 issues, each containing 12 pages and a plate. These are not dated, but have the title to the top of the first (4) pages. So each volume has 144 pages (despite a pagination of 576.) Some darkening / spotted foxing to the pages, but overall in very respectable condition. 250 x 180 mm (9¾ x 7 inches). Deux tomes.
